"Shul-Hopping:" BZBI Services and Lunch
Begins: May 3 2008 - 9:00am
Ends: May 3 2008 - 2:00pm Location: BZBI at 18th and Spruce Type: • City Wide Grad Network calendar Want to attend Shabbat morning services but not sure where to go? Nervous about walking into an unfamiliar service? Worried you won't know anyone? This is the last event of its kind this semester, but stay tuned in the fall for more shul-hopping dates! This month, join us at Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel for services. Following services, Cantor Grainer will be hosting grad students and young adults at her home for Shabbat lunch. If you want to go to lunch, RSVP IS REQUIRED below so that we can plan accordingly. Otherwise, feel free to just show up for services! What to expect: BZBI Shabbat morning services are traditional and egalitarian, using the Conservative Sim Shalom siddur (prayer book). There is a full Torah reading, a sermon given by Rabbi Stone, and lots of singing led by Cantor Grainer. Following services, there is a kiddush upstairs from where services are held. The community is very inter-generational and welcoming. | |
