For the past seven years, the Philadelphia Jewish Labor Committee (PJLC) has hosted a unique program celebrating the holiday of Passover. This ceremony ties the exodus of the oppressed Hebrew slaves from Egypt to those in our midst who struggle every day for dignity and freedom - especially economic freedom. We invite you to join us in attending this model Seder, which will engage attendees in a lively discussion about the importance of freedom and delivering hope for a better day.

This year, Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Philadelphia (JCRC) will be co-sponsoring the event

Moishe House is involving young adults in the event by offering a special subsidized price.  If you are able to join the Moishe House contingent, please pre-register by March 28, 2008 by emailing us at moishehousephilly@gmail.com. The cost of the Seder and meal is normally $18.00, but if you register through Moishe House, we will subsidize the cost down to $10 per person. The meal will be kosher and vegetarian options will be available (please include if you are vegetarian when you RSVP).

Help us continue to strengthen and renew ties between the labor movement and the Jewish Community in Philadelphia, two communities that share many of the same social justice values. As we recount one of the greatest stories of our time, we will connect ancient to current issues of freedom and liberation.
