Yom HaZikaron Commemoration

Israel - whose creation and survival as a state has been marked by so many losses - decided to designate its memorial day on the day preceding Yom Ha'atzma'ut, Independence Day, as its day of commemoration for the fallen. On this day, we recall and mark the pain of our losses in public and in private. We commemorate the heroes who gave their lives to Eretz Israel, to defend our loved ones and homeland. We are commemorating those lost in terror attacks.
